Heat hope to win in Indiana despite suspension

Heat hope to win in Indiana despite suspension

The ill-tempered Eastern Conference Semi Final between Miami and Indiana will head back to the Conseco Fieldhouse with the Heat looking to close out the series tonight (May 24th).

Miami lead 3-2 following one of their most impressive post season performances ever when they took Game 5 in a 115-83 blowout.

Heat fans will be hoping that LeBron James continues his incredible series and Dwayne Wade picks up where he left off in Indiana, when his second half turnaround was one of the deciding factors in his team's pivotal Game 4 success.

However, more pressure will be piled on the star duo following the suspension of Udonis Haslem.

Officials have upgraded the reserve power forward's flagrant one foul on Tyler Hansbrough to a flagrant-two violation.

The Heat will be hoping to keep things tight in the final road game of the series and will again be looking to James for inspiration. The MVP was named as the leading vote-getter in the NBA All-Defensive Team of the Year.

Pacers and Heat head into Game 3 all square

Pacers and Heat head into Game 3 all square

The Eastern Conference Semi Final between the Heat and the Pacers goes in to Game 3 delicately poised after Indiana made it a win a piece last night (May 15th) with a 78-75 win in Miami.

It was a team effort from the Pacers with four players scoring double figures lead by 16 from David West, who also posted ten boards.

"We stayed together. Great team effort. Everyone was counting on each other, depending on each other, communicating," said the forward.

West added that Indiana knew the Miami's star duo of LeBron James and Dwayne Wade, would make shots, but they were confident that they were the better overall team.

James and Wade combined for a total of 52 points, but the rest of the heat were anything but hot, shooting just nine of 34 from the field.

The series now heads to Indianapolis with the Pacers in a strong position, while Miami will be hoping that injured center Chris Bosh will be fit to return to action before too long.
